Terms of Service

By commissioning a Memorial Life Story from Eviriam, the client agrees to the following terms.

The Service
Eviriam provides one bespoke memorial service: the creation of a personalised multi-page biographical memorial website dedicated to the life and memory of one person.
Each Memorial Life Story is individually created from the information, photographs, videos, voice recordings, memories and other materials provided by the client.

Information and Materials Provided
The client is responsible for ensuring that the information and materials provided to Eviriam may lawfully be used for the creation and publication of the memorial.
Photographs, videos, voice recordings, written memories and other personal materials supplied by the client are used exclusively for the creation of the commissioned Memorial Life Story.
Eviriam does not retain separate copies of the original materials supplied by the client once the project has been completed. Content required for the memorial to function and remain visible continues to be hosted as an integral part of the memorial website.

Price and Payment
The total price of a Memorial Life Story is £600.
A deposit of £150 is required before work begins.
The remaining balance of £450 is due once the memorial website is complete and the client is satisfied with the completed project.
The £600 price is a one-off payment. There are no annual hosting fees, subscription charges or renewal costs for keeping the memorial online.
 
Gift Card
The Memorial Life Story Gift Card costs £600 and covers the complete creation of one Memorial Life Story.
The Gift Card is personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. It is valid for three months from the date of purchase and must be used at checkout before the expiry date shown in the Gift Card email.
The expiry date applies only to the use of the code. Once the code has been redeemed, the Memorial Life Story may be completed after the expiry date.
The code may be used once. The recipient is responsible for keeping it secure. For help with a lost Gift Card email or an incorrect recipient email address, please contact info@eviriam.com.
Any statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

Hosting and Personal Web Address
Each Memorial Life Story is hosted within Eviriam and receives its own personal web address based on the name of the person being remembered.
For example:
francesco-falchi.eviriam.com
Hosting is included for as long as Eviriam continues to operate.
The personal Eviriam web address and the hosting infrastructure remain part of the Eviriam service and are not transferred to the client.

Personal QR Code
A personal digital QR code linked directly to the Memorial Life Story is included in the price at no additional cost.
The QR code may be printed or reproduced by the client on a material of their choice and may be used on a headstone, memorial plaque, printed material, personal object or another appropriate location.
Eviriam supplies the QR code in digital format only. Physical plaques, engraving, printing and other physical materials are not included.

Creation and Delivery
When completing the form, the customer selects a Project Start Date from the available dates. This is the date on which work on the Memorial Life Story is expected to begin.
The Memorial Life Story is normally completed within approximately 5–7 days of the selected Project Start Date, provided Eviriam has received the materials needed to proceed.
Timescales may vary depending on the amount of material provided, the complexity of the memorial or circumstances outside Eviriam’s reasonable control.

Cancellations and Refunds
The right to cancel applies both to the purchase of a Memorial Life Story and to the purchase of a Memorial Life Story Gift Card.
The customer normally has the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days of the purchase date by emailing info@eviriam.com.
If the purchase is cancelled within this period, any amounts already paid will be refunded.
If the selected Project Start Date falls within the 14-day cancellation period, Eviriam will begin providing the Memorial Life Story service during that period only following the customer’s express request.
If the customer cancels after work has begun but before the service has been fully performed, Eviriam may retain or charge, where permitted by law, a reasonable and proportionate amount for the work already completed.
The customer will lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, provided that the customer expressly requested the service to begin during the cancellation period and acknowledged that the right to cancel would be lost once the service had been fully performed.

Availability of the Memorial
Memorial Life Stories are intended to remain hosted within Eviriam for the long term and will remain online for as long as Eviriam continues to operate.
If Eviriam were ever to cease operating, families would, wherever possible, be given reasonable notice before their memorial is discontinued.
Temporary interruptions may occasionally occur because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting-provider issues or circumstances outside Eviriam's reasonable control.
