Terms of Service

By commissioning a Memorial Life Story from Eviriam, the client agrees to the following terms.

The Service
Eviriam provides one bespoke memorial service: the creation of a personalised multi-page biographical memorial website dedicated to the life and memory of one person.
Each Memorial Life Story is individually created from the information, photographs, videos, voice recordings, memories and other materials provided by the client.

Information and Materials Provided
The client is responsible for ensuring that the information and materials provided to Eviriam may lawfully be used for the creation and publication of the memorial.
Photographs, videos, voice recordings, written memories and other personal materials supplied by the client are used exclusively for the creation of the commissioned Memorial Life Story.
Eviriam does not retain separate copies of the original materials supplied by the client once the project has been completed. Content required for the memorial to function and remain visible continues to be hosted as an integral part of the memorial website.

Price and Payment
The total price of a Memorial Life Story is £600.
A deposit of £150 is required before work begins.
The remaining balance of £450 is due once the memorial website is complete and the client is satisfied with the completed project.
The £600 price is a one-off payment. There are no annual hosting fees, subscription charges or renewal costs for keeping the memorial online.

Hosting and Personal Web Address
Each Memorial Life Story is hosted within Eviriam and receives its own personal web address based on the name of the person being remembered.
For example:

Hosting is included for as long as Eviriam continues to operate.
The personal Eviriam web address and the hosting infrastructure remain part of the Eviriam service and are not transferred to the client.

Personal QR Code
A personal digital QR code linked directly to the Memorial Life Story is included in the price at no additional cost.
The QR code may be printed or reproduced by the client on a material of their choice and may be used on a headstone, memorial plaque, printed material, personal object or another appropriate location.
Eviriam supplies the QR code in digital format only. Physical plaques, engraving, printing and other physical materials are not included.

Creation and Delivery
The usual creation time is approximately 5–7 days from receipt of the materials required to begin the project.
The timeframe may vary depending on the amount of material provided, the complexity of the memorial or circumstances outside Eviriam's reasonable control.

Refunds and Cancellation
Because each Memorial Life Story is individually created and personalised for the client, work begins only after the initial deposit has been received.
Any cancellation or refund rights that apply under UK consumer law are not affected by these Terms.
Where the client expressly requests that work begins before the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period, the client may be required to pay for work already carried out if the contract is subsequently cancelled, where permitted by law.

Availability of the Memorial
Memorial Life Stories are intended to remain hosted within Eviriam for the long term and will remain online for as long as Eviriam continues to operate.
If Eviriam were ever to cease operating, families would, wherever possible, be given reasonable notice before their memorial is discontinued.
Temporary interruptions may occasionally occur because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting-provider issues or circumstances outside Eviriam's reasonable control.
